Requirements
General Requirements
Admission is based on academic excellence and it is mandatory for applicants to have a recognized Master Degree (M.A., M.S., etc...) or a degree at the level of a Master Degree (for example, 300 ECTS credits in the European system). Any additional studies (second Bachelor degree, Master degree, or graduate studies) should be mentionned in the application.
Previous studies in mathematics, applied mathematics, quantitative economics, or finance are useful, but students with other backgrounds, especially with good mathematical training are also welcomed. In addition to the programme, some courses may be offered within the first year for accepted students who do not meet prerequisites. Students may also choose to take the Summer semester in Paris before their arrival in the programme or to follow courses in Master 2 during the first year.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of English is an essential requirement. Applicants whose first language is not English must submit an English test certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.).

No English test is asked to students coming from an English speaking country or to students having a diploma (High School, Bachelor or Master degree...) from a university where courses are taught in English.
(Please note that the number of applications must be limited to three Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates maximum. In the eventual case that a student applies to more than three EM Doctorates he/she will be excluded from the selection for an Erasmus Mundus Fellowship).
